The Ridge House

The Ridge House accommodates up to eight guests plus two infants:

• 1 x Queen Master Bedroom
• 2 x Queen Bedrooms
• 1 x Queen or 2 Singles Bedroom

We have one bedroom set up with two singles permanently, but upon request, we're happy to change this to a queen bed free of charge. 

To secure your stay, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 15 days prior to arrival

A flat cleaning fee of $160 per stay applies to all bookings. This covers the full preparation of the property, including professional cleaning, property care, and the laundering of all linens.
 

For longer stays, additional mid-stay cleans and fresh linen changes can be arranged at a flat rate of $160 per service.
 

As a bush property, we are committed to caring for our land and environment. We use sustainable, eco-conscious cleaning products throughout the home. A selection of these products is available under the kitchen and laundry sinks for your use during your stay.

We love welcoming dogs and appreciate your help in caring for the home so it can be enjoyed by all guests.

The Ridge House is set on private 50-acre bushland property, and there is no enclosed outdoor fencing. For your dog’s safety, we ask that they are supervised at all times while outdoors and kept on a lead to prevent them from wandering into the surrounding bush.
 

A great deal of care has gone into styling The Ridge House, and while dogs are welcome inside, we kindly ask that you:

• Bring your dog’s own bedding for their comfort

• Bring an old towel to wipe off muddy paws before entering the home

• Keep dogs off beds and furniture at all times

• Pick up doggy poo
   

A fee of $50 per pet, per stay applies.​

A pre-authorisation of AUD $500 is held on 1 day before arrival and voided on 2 day(s) after departure.

In line with Victorian State Government requirements, a 7.5% Short Stay Levy applies to all accommodation bookings.

To manage the administration and processing of this levy, we apply a flat 8.5% charge to all bookings. This includes the government levy as well as associated administration costs.

Our rates are designed to be flexible, allowing couples and small groups to enjoy The Ridge House without paying for unused bedrooms, while still allowing for larger gatherings to book the whole house and all the bedrooms when needed. 

Rather than charging a flat rate for the entire house, this approach allows you to only pay for the number of guests staying.

Base Rate
Our nightly rate is based on two guests, with a minimum two-night stay (minimum 3-night stay during peak periods such as long weekends).
 

Additional Guests
Additional guests are welcome at $80 per person, per night (up to eight guests in total). We open the number of bedrooms to suit your group size. Example stays:

• 2 guests → base rate

• 4 guests → base rate + $160 per night

• 6 guests → base rate + $320 per night

• 8 guests → base rate + $480 per night

Children Pricing

Children are very welcome at The Ridge House.
 

Infants (under 2 years)
Infants stay free of charge. We have one port-a-cot, linen and highchair we can provide upon request. If an infant requires a bed, the standard additional guest rate will apply.
 

Children (3 years and over)
Children aged 3 years and above are charged at the additional guest rate of $80 per person, per night.

Cancellations
All payments are non-refundable. However, we understand that plans can change, and we offer flexibility through date changes where possible. 

Date Changes
You are welcome to change your stay dates at no additional charge, subject to availability.

• Changes must be requested prior to your scheduled arrival date

• New dates must fall within a comparable rate period (any difference in rates will be payable)

• We recommend providing as much notice as possible to secure preferred alternative dates

In the event that we are unable to rebook your original dates, we may, at our discretion, offer a partial refund equivalent to the value of the rebooking.
